PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Oral white lesions are a prevalent and challenging clinical scenario for otolaryngologists. The variety of lesions, variability in behavior patterns, and unclear treatment recommendations make management of these lesions complex and in continual flux. This panel will review the variety of oral white lesions, cancer risk factors for these lesions, treatment options and algorithms, and ongoing advances in this field. The panel will also review evolving practice patterns for the management of oral white lesions using case-based presentations.

Learning Objectives:

Understand the variety of oral white lesions, and their malignant potential, and presentation signs and symptoms associated with higher malignant potential.
Integrate up-to-date data and algorithms into the workup and management of oral white lesions into clinical practice.
Implement initial diagnosis and surveillance recommendations of oral white lesions into clinical practice.
