PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: In this course common causes of anosmia and smell disorders will be presented with a review of new research on the topic pertaining to smell loss in the post COVID-19 era. A practical guide for helping patients in the general otolaryngologist’s office will be discussed. Smell tests, and practical recommendations for patients will be reviewed.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Know the work up and differential diagnosis for a patient with smell disorder.
  2. Know the common pitfalls in caring for a patient with smell disorder deleted in the post COVID-19 era for 2023 proposal.
  3. Know the different methods for testing a patient with smell loss.
