Joshua Wright, MBBS, is a incoming PGY-1 Otolaryngology Resident in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences at Duke University. Originally from Jamaica, he earned his MBBS with distinction from the University of the West Indies, where he graduated as valedictorian. He has completed two research fellowships, one in craniofacial-pediatric plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and another in computational fluid dynamics at Duke University Hospital. He is an active member of the Global OHNS Initiative, acting as one of the advocacy team leads. In this role he is committed to improving global health outcomes through research and advocacy. He also founded 'The Right to Speak,' Jamaica’s first advocacy group for children with speech impediments.
