Dr. Setzen is President & CEO of Albany ENT and Allergy Services, PC, a 10 physician and 19 physician assistant (PA) independent private practice in Albany, NY. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), Clinical Associate Professor at Albany Medical College and Chief of the Otolaryngology Division at St. Peter’s Hospital, St. Peter’s Health Partners.
He is a Director, American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (ABO-HNS), Fellow of the AAO-HNS, American College of Surgeons (ACS), the American Rhinologic Society (ARS), the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA), and the American Head and Neck Society (AHNS). His clinical and research interests include the medical and surgical management of nasal and sinus disorders, otolaryngic allergy, thyroid and parathyroid surgery and point-of-service CT imaging.
He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters and has delivered scientific lectures and presentations at national and international meetings. Dr. Setzen received his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa. He was a general surgery resident at North Shore University Hospital, Cornell University Medical College in New York, NY, before completing an Otolaryngology residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY.
