Dr.Pradeep Rajbhandari is an ENT, Head, and Neck Surgeon from Nepal. He completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Nepal Medical College in 2012 and a Master of Surgery (MS) in Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) from Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences in 2018. He is involved in clinical practice, academics, and research in Otolaryngology. He has been working as a consultant ENT, Head and Neck Surgeon as well as a Lecturer involved in teaching students of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. During his Masters in ORL, he did a thesis on "Quality of life after tonsillectomy." He completed a Master's in Public Health from the University of New Haven and is currently working as a Clinical Research Associate at Yale School of Medicine.
His primary area of interest is otology and endoscopic ear surgery. Being from an underdeveloped country, upgrading clinical practice and revolutionizing conventional methods was challenging. He is always enthusiastic about upgrading conventional surgeries and promoting minimally invasive ear and nose surgeries.
He is a research enthusiast and looks forward to incorporating preventive medicine in otolaryngology. Moreover, he has been involved in almost 2 dozen research in ENT and has been part of 21 publications to date. He was awarded the "Best Oral Presentation Award" by the Society of Otolaryngology of Nepal(SOL-Nepal).
He is a member of SOL-Nepal, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery(AAOHNS), European Academy of Otology and Neurotology (EAONO), Americal Public Health Association (APHA), Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) and Nepal Medical Association.
He aims to upgrade conventional methods of surgery in ORL, train recent graduates in ORL on recent advances, increase the coverage of endoscopic ear surgery in developing countries, and ultimately expand the horizon of the benefits of minimally invasive surgeries through research, academics, and training.
