Elina M. Toskala MD, PhD, MBA is a Professor, Vice chair and Director of Allergy in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA. She is the immediate past Chair of the Women in Rhinology section in the American Rhinologic Society. She serves on the ARS Board of Directors and several committees in both ARS and AAOA. She has held academic appointments internationally and in the US and lectured worldwide at CME courses and meetings for 25 years. Her main research area has been chronic rhinosinusitis pathophysiology, genetics, endotyping, and biologics. Her other research interests include epidemiological and occupational studies of allergic airway disease, allergen immunotherapy, and the “Unified Airways”- connections between upper and lower airway diseases. She has published over 160 articles and chapters. She is an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Allergy and an Editorial Board member for the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
