Dr Renan Lira had a substancial contribution in implementing robotic neck surgery in Latin America, becoming a leader and a pioneer in this field. In the last 8 years, performed more than 900 robotic and endoscopic head and neck procedures, including retroauricular and transoral thyroid surgery, retroauricular robotic and endoscopic neck dissections and TORS. He is the executive coordinator of the largest training program in robotic head and neck surgery in Latin America that had trained more than 70 head and neck surgeons in the last 2 years. Besides that, he is preceptor of the only fellowship dedicated to robotic and endoscopic head and neck surgery in Latin America and the most active proctor in robotic head and neck surgery in Brazil.
