Zaroug Jaleel MD is a fourth-year resident in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington. After earning his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Tufts University, he completed his medical training at the Boston University School of Medicine. Under the guidance of Dr. Neel Bhatt and Dr. David Perkel his project will explore motor and sensory changes in swallow function in a aging rodent laryngeal model, with the goal of exploring mechanisms underlying swallowing dysfunction with aging.
