Stephen P. Cragle, MD is a Partner at St. Cloud Ear, Nose & Throat Clinic, P.A., a 6 partner single specialty OTO/HNS private practice providing comprehensive care throughout central Minnesota. Now in his 32nd year with the practice, he has extensive local, state, and national experience in physician leadership and advocacy. He is an advocate for private practice, and his clinic has maintained an independent status despite considerable consolidation of surgical specialists into the regional health system over the past 10 years. He led an expansion and re-structuring of the St. Cloud Surgical Center, the second oldest free-standing ambulatory surgical center in America, adding a large Orthopedics group and increasing overall physician ownership from 27% to 80% while increasing volume and patient satisfaction. At the AAO/HNS he is on the Nominating Committee, the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors (BOG), vice-chair of the BOG Socioeconomic and Grass Roots Committee, serves on the Otolaryngology Private Practice Section Business of Medicine Committee, the Practice Management Education Committee where he is a member of the FLEX work group and on the History and Archives Committee. He is a member of The First 50 advocacy group, Project 535, ENTPAC, and the Millennium Society. He presents frequently on private practice and business of medicine topics at AAOHNS events. In 2015 he was elected Chair of the Board of Governors of Central Minnesota Health Network, a Clinically Integrated Network and Accountable Care Organization made up of 18 hospitals and clinics throughout central Minnesota. CMHN was accepted by CMS as an advanced APM Accountable Care Organization, and is bringing doctors and institutions together to promote value-based care in both public and private sectors.

He is passionate about private practice, practice management, student/resident mentoring, and advocacy for the benefit of our patients and our specialty.
