Jordan Varghese is a resident physician-scientist trainee in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. He obtained a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MD from Emory University School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He completed two years of dedicated research supported by the NIDCD T32/R25 grant for the Clinical Development of Academic Otolaryngologists. His primary research focus has been on electrocochleography as a clinical tool to better characerize inner ear pathology and enhance cochlear implant outcomes. He will complete his clinical Otolaryngology residency training in 2027. His long-term goal is to develop a career as an academic physician-scientist focused on improving clinical outcomes for hearing and balance disorders. He will build on these experiences to further the dissemination and implementation of hearing care in clinical contexts locally, nationally, and globally.
