Mario E. Zernotti MD PhD is professor of ENT at Catholic University of Córdoba and National University of Villa Maria, and also professor of Clinical of Hearing at National University of Córdoba. He has a long experience, more than 25 years, in the field of ear surgery. He was the pioneer in electro acoustic stimulation and hearing preservation in all America, doing the first cases of EAS cochlear implants on the continent. In addition, the OTICO group created by himself was the first to do Active Middle Ear Implants and bone conductive prosthesis in the region. This group is working specially in atresia/microtia patients, a very common malformation in South America and northwest of Argentina, doing a comprehensive approach to the problem.
Currently others fields of research and interest include SSD, AHL, tinnitus and genetics of microtia.
