Moises Arriaga, MD, MBA, FACS is a Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery as well as Director of Otology and Neurotology at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Department of Otolaryngology. He is the Bullington Professor of Hearing Research. He is medical director and founder of the Our Lady of the Lake Hearing and Balance Center in Baton Rouge, the CNC Hearing and Balance Center in New Orleans and is the founder of the Children’s Hospital Cochlear Implant Program in New Orleans. His practice is limited to medical and surgical disorders of the ear, hearing, balance, facial nerve, Acoustic Tumors, Skull Base Tumors, and implant surgery.
Dr. Arriaga earned his medical degree from Brown University in Providence, RI, USA, and went on to complete his Otolaryngology Residency training at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by Fellowship training at the House Ear Clinic and House Ear Institute in Los Angeles, California, USA.. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Neurotology.
He has authored and edited numerous textbooks and chapters and published over 150 peer-reviewed research articles and ten textbooks. Among his textbook editorships is Otologic Surgery from Elsevier Press (co-edited with Derald Brackmann MD and Clough Shelton MD) which is in its 5th edition. He has lectured worldwide on advances in Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery and has served as president of the Otosclerosis Study Group and the American Neurotology Society.
