Dr. Dale Amanda Tylor MD, MPH is a general and pediatric otolaryngologist and co-owner of Riviera ENT in Santa Barbara, California.
She completed medical school at McGill University in her native Montreal, Canada, otolaryngology residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, and a Master of Public Health at the University of Liverpool in the UK. She started her career in academia at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, but then moved to private practice, first in the San Francisco Bay Area and ultimately settling in Santa Barbara, CA.
Dr. Tylor has a passion for optimizing the diagnosis and management of ankyloglossia. Her MPH thesis was entitled "The impact of frenotomy on feeding and speech in children". She has set up multiple ankyloglossia programs and has patients traveling from far distances for care. She has been lecturing for several years with Dr. Bobby Ghaheri at the AAO-HNS annual meeting on the topic, and has been featured on numerous podcasts about tongue and lip tie. She also has been helping to bring awareness to the risks of noise-induced hearing loss related to school district-provided tablets to young children and to change policy in school districts to help mitigate such risks.
Dr. Tylor is active within the Academy and is a prior chair of the Board of Governor's Governance and Society Engagement Committee, and is current vice-chair of the Board of Governor's Socioeconomic and Grassroots Committee, member of the Practice Management Education Committee, and is chair-elect of the Complementary/Integrative Medicine Committee.
She is married to a radiologist and has 2 young children.
