Sam L. Oyer, MD is an Associate Professor in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in the Otolaryngology Department at the Univeristy of Virginia. His practice encompasses a wide range of facial plastic surgery with a special emphasis on facial reanimation, facial reconstruction following Mohs surgery, facial trauma managment, rhinoplasty, and aesthetic facial treatments. He is co-director of the Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Virgina. Dr. Oyer has a parituclar interest in outcomes research in the area of facial paralysis, Mohs reconstruciton, facial trauma and rhinoplasty. He serves on several committees for the AAO-HNS along with the board of directors for the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and the Editorial Board of the Facial Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Medicine Journal.
