Luv R. Javia, MD, is a Professor of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology: Head & Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and an Attending Surgeon in the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine with an M.D., Dr. Luv Javia pursued his residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. In 2010, he completed a two-year Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at CHOP along with a one-year Otology fellowship at Penn. Upon graduation, Dr. Javia joined CHOP’s Pediatric Airway Program faculty within the multidisciplinary Center for Pediatric Airway Disorders and CHOP’s Cochlear Implant Program.
Over the years, he has been active publishing and lecturing regionally, nationally, and internationally on pediatric airway reconstruction, advanced tracheal reconstructive surgery, the difficult pediatric airway, cochlear implantation, and Otolaryngologic simulation. In 2020, was presented with the Joseph P. Atkins Teaching Award by the Perelman School of Medicine for excellence in residency teaching. In 2022, he was inducted into the Academy of Master Clinicians at the University of Pennsylvania.
