Debra G. Weinberger, MD, is a pediatric otolaryngologist at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas and Children's Medical Center Dallas. An assistant professor in the Departments of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Pediatrics, she is the Medical Director for the Callier Center for Communication Disorders at the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Weinberger completed residency in otolaryngology at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York and a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. She was a Fulbright Scholar and Research Fellow at the University of Essen in Germany and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Science. She is a member of the CORE grant review committee and the ethics committee of the AAO-HNS. She has served on the general otolaryngology and sleep education committee, the outcomes research and evidence-based medicine committee, allergy, asthma and immunology committe and women in otolaryngology subcommittees Her clinical interests include underserved populations. She has initiated multidisciplinary volunteer clinics at several sites in Dallas serving adults and children in collaboration with the University of Texas at Dallas and Texas Women’s University. She is extensively involved in mentoring and teaching medical students. Her research interests include speech and language development in preterm infants and medical education.
