Carol Bier-Laning, MD, MBA, FACS is Professor Emerita of Otolaryngology at Loyola University Medical Center. Prior to retiring from clinical practice, she served as the Quality Medical Director for the Department, Medical Director for the Transfer Center and was the Chair and Physician Champion for the Difficult Airway Response Team (DART) Committee at Loyola. She is a fellowship-trained head and neck surgical oncologist. Her academic interests include incorporating evidence-based medicine into practice to provide safe, high quality and value-based head and neck health care. Her goal is to change the way healthcare is delivered by making systems streamlined and efficient for providers and patients.
