Derek J. Vos, BS is a 4th year medical student at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has spent the past year working as a clinical research fellow in the department of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at the Head and Neck Institute of the Cleveland Clinic. During this year, his projects have focused on facial nerve injury and facial reanimation, along with microvascular reconstruction for head and neck cancer and osteoradionecrosis. Derek will be applying to otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency this fall. He currently lives in Cleveland with his wife, Sarah.
