Susan D. Emmett, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology and Epidemiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where she was recruited to found and direct the new UAMS Center for Hearing Health Equity. She consults for the World Health Organization and serves as Co-Chair of Innovations in Service Delivery for the Lancet Commission on Hearing Loss. She is the Founder and Director of the Global HEAR Collaborative and HEAR-USA, the only international and national research networks dedicated to addressing disparities in hearing loss. She is the only otolaryngologist who is a TED Fellow, named in 2017.
