I am Ching-Nung Wu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. I specialize in the management of cancer, with a particular focus on rare cancers within the head and neck region, such as external auditory canal cancer. My expertise extends to employing rigorous methodologies and statistical analyses tailored for oncology research.
Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health, which has refined my skills in utilizing real-world databases to evaluate outcomes in healthcare. My research prominently focuses on the comparative effectiveness of proton versus photon therapy in treating nasopharyngeal carcinoma. I systematically assess various dimensions of treatment outcomes, including life expectancy, quality of life, and cost-effectiveness.
My approach integrates advanced statistical methods to dissect complex datasets, ensuring robust and actionable findings that contribute to evidence-based clinical practices. Additionally, my work emphasizes the importance of optimizing therapeutic strategies to enhance patient-centered outcomes, aligning with contemporary goals in oncology and healthcare economics.
