Dr. Kimberly Roth is a trained psychiatric epidemiologist with a PhD in public mental health from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. She completed a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Mental Health Services Research at the Washington University in St. Louis Brown School of Social Work. She teaches population health and epidemiology at Mercer University School of Medicine in Savannah. Currently, her research focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of mental disorders in Latinx populations, most recently in Georgia farmworkers. Since coming to Mercer University, she has expanded her focus to the health of rural populations, including how it relates to the opioid epidemic, suicide prevention, and accessibility of autism services.
