Dr. Chandra Ivey is Assistant Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She has established herself as a Laryngologist in private practice since 2007. She specializes in the dysphonic patient and performs in-office evaluation, biopsy, and treatment when possible. She has expertise in laryngeal EMG, laryngeal BOTOX, in-office injection laryngoplasty, in-office laser treatment for benign lesions, FEESST, trans-nasal esophagoscopy, and a variety of laryngeal reconstructive procedures. Dr. Ivey dedicates the majority of her time to clinical practice.
Dr. Ivey graduated from Harvard and Radcliffe College and then completed medical school at Weill-Cornell Medical College. She matriculated to Otolaryngology residency at the University of Cincinnati, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Ivey completed Laryngology fellowship with Dr. Peak Woo at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Ivey is Board Certified in Otologology. She is a member of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Ivey was director of the Division of Laryngology, Voice and Swallowing in the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Columbia University. She has held appointments at Lenox Hill Hospital, Mount Sinai, Columbia University, Beth Israel and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary since completing her training.
