Dr. Jake J. Lee is a Clinical Assistant Professor specializing in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at Stanford University. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also earned a Master’s of Science in Clinical Investigation. During his training, he was an NIH-sponsored T32 research resident, studying functional outcomes of head and neck cancer treatment, olfaction, and patient-reported outcome measure development and validation. He then completed his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on advanced techniques including minimally invasive transoral robotic surgery, organ preserving laryngeal surgery, and microvascular free flap reconstruction. Clinically, Dr. Lee specializes in comprehensive care for benign and malignant head and neck pathology, minimally invasive head and neck surgery, and microvascular reconstructive surgery. Academically, his interests are in studying head & neck functional outcomes, including the development and validation of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). In his free time, he enjoys hiking, snowboarding, traveling, recipe-less cooking, sports watching, and bourbon hunting.
