Dr. Molly Heft Neal is an assistant professor in the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery department at the University of Michigan. She completed undergraduate training at Stanford University and her medical school training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She did her residency at University of Michigan where she completed a T32 research fellowship in head and neck oncology and her fellowship in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction at Washington University. She hold a position as a surgeon scientist and her research focuses on mechanisms of treatment resistance in head and neck cancer with a focus on hypoxia and the tumor immune microenvironment.
