Charissa Zaga (BSpPath, MPH) is a Senior Speech Pathologist and Acute Stream Leader in the Department of Speech Pathology and a Health Services Researcher in the Implementation Science Unit at the Institute of Breathing and Sleep, both based at The Austin Hospital, Melbourne Australia. Charissa completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology and Master of Public Health at La Trobe University and has recently submitted her PhD thesis in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Charissa holds an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer position within the Department of Critical Care at the University of Melbourne. Charissa is the co-convenor of the Victorian Critical Care and Tracheostomy Interest Group, Treasurer and Executive Board Member of the Global Tracheostomy Collaborative and immediate past Chair of the Global Tracheostomy Collaborative database committee. Charissa is an Assistant Editor for the Journal of Tracheostomy.
