Michael D. Seidman, MD attained his degree in Human Nutrition and MD from the School of Public Health and Medical School at the University of Michigan. He did his OTO-HNS Residency at Henry Ford Health System
and fellowship in Otologic/Neurotologic and Skull Base Surgery at Ear Research Foundation. He directs the Division of Otologic/Neurotologic/Skull base surgery at Florida Hospital, and he is Medical Director of the Center for Integrative Medicine and for Wellness at Florida Hospital He is Elected Chair-Board of Governors for the AAO-HNS and elected to the Board of Directors for the Academy. Dr. Seidman has presented to Congress and the FDA. The governor appointed him to the medical board for the State of Michigan. He serves in numerous leadership roles locally, nationally, and internationally, and serves as an editor, associate editor, and on the review board of eight national or international journals. Dr. Seidman has extramural funding from the NIH. He is considered an expert on the molecular basis of aging, noise induced hearing loss, otologic/neurotologic-skull base surgery, herbal therapies, and complementary/integrative medicine. He developed two surgical procedures and is one of 12 surgeons worldwide selected to do the Envoy Esteem Fully implantable hearing surgery. He runs several international clinical trials.
Dr. Seidman lectures internationally on such topics; has more than 130 major publications; two books, seven patents and numerous awards including being honored, since 1995, as one of the top Doctors in the USA. He has been interviewed on Good Morning America, CNN and other news venues and has been quoted nationally and internationally in such magazines as O, Shape, Women’s World, Prevention, Men’s Health, The Wall Street Journal, New York and the London Times. He was honored with the Clinical Practitioner Excellence Award.
