Dr. Kashat completed an Honors Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Western Ontario in 2009 and Master of Science Degree at the University of Toronto in 2011. He subsequently completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in Grand Rapids where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Following medical school, he completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Connecticut. Upon graduating, he was awarded the Residency Leadership Award for his work during his training. Following the completion of his residency training, he completed additional fellowship training in Laryngology at the University of Michigan.
As a laryngologist, Dr. Kashat has particular interest and expertise in the management of all types of voice, airway, and swallowing disorders. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He has authored numerous journal articles and has been extensively involved in training future physicians. He has presented research and taught at courses nationally. He is actively involved in the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and hopes to continue to advance the field through education and advocacy.
