Akshay Warrier is a third year medical student at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He received a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University as a member of the seven-year combined BA/MD program. He has been dedicated to serving the Newark population as a medical student passionate about research and service. He is currently interested in research on head and neck surgery, frailty, and patient outcomes. Akshay is a member of the Bower's Neurosurgical Frailty Lab headed by Dr. Christian Bowers, one of the foremost frailty researchers in neurosurgery
