Derrick Randall, MD MSc FRCSC, is a Clinical Associate Professor with University of Calgary, in Calgary, Alberta. Originally from British Columbia, he completed medical school and a Master of Science in medical genetics at The University of British Columbia followed by residency at University of Calgary. After residency he undertook a fellowship in laryngology and bronchoesophagology at The University of California, Davis, then returned to University of Calgary. He practices primarily as a laryngologist with the Calgary Voice and Airway program, the Alberta Health Services Dysphagia Clinic, and the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, with additional practice in endocrine/head and neck surgery and pediatric otolaryngology. He also serves as the University of Calgary otolaryngology - head and neck surgery Residency Program Director and Otolaryngology Site Lead for the Peter Lougheed Centre. His research program focuses on oropharyngeal dysphagia clinical features and outcomes along with epidemiologic factors contributing to idiopathic subglottic stenosis.
