William R. Blythe MD, FACS is an Owner/Partner at East Alabama Ear, Nose and Throat, PC in Auburn/Opelika, Alabama. He is a general otolaryngologist practicing at a regional medical center serving East/Central Alabama and West Georgia. He is the President of Alabama Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, as well as Alternate Governor. He has served as Program Chairman for the Gulf States Regional Otolaryngology Meeting for 14 years and continues in that position. He is the Past Chief of Staff of East Alabama Health System, and has served on Credentials, Medical Executive, Peer Review, Bylaws and Quality Committees for the past 20 years. He has served on multiple AAO-HNS committees, including AMPC, RVU, and Reg-ENT Executive Committee over Sinus and Allergy, where he continues to serve. He is a past Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors of the AAO-HNS. His primary clinical interests are otologic surgery (cochlear implantation, stapedectomy and chronic ear surgery,) head and neck oncology and endocrine surgery.
