Seth Pransky, M.D. is currently President of Pediatric Specialty Partners. He began at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego in 1985 and was the Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology from 1997-2017. He was on the Executive Board of the Rady Children’s Hospital Specialists for 18 years, was the Medical Director of Satellite Services/Clincal Practice Committee for the hospital for 16 years and a Professor of Surgery in Otolaryngology at UCSD.
Dr. Pransky was President of the Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Advances in Children (SENTAC). He served on the board of directors of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology, the Pediatric Otolaryngology Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology (AAO) and the Executive Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics Section of Otolaryngology. Dr. Pransky has authored over 85 peer reviewed articles, 15 chapters and has given over 500 scientific presentations and educational lectures throughout the US including instructional courses for the AAO for 36 years and internationally in 25 counties. His primary research is the ongoing study of recurrent respiratory papillomatosis.
Dr. Pransky has received prestigious national organizational awards including the acclaimed Chevalier Jackson Award from the American Bronchoesophagological Association, the greatly respected Gabriel Tucker Award for outstanding contributions in Pediatric Laryngology from the American Laryngological Association, and the esteemed Sylvan Stool Award for outstanding lifetime contributions to teaching and service from SENTAC. He was previously acknowledged as one of the top ten instructors in the AAO instructional courses, has been a recipient of the AAO Honor Award and was honored with the Skoglund Physician Recognition Award for Excellence in Teaching from Rady Children’s Hospital. He has been selected by Best Doctors in America every year since 1992 as well as from Castle Connolly Top Doctors from 2012-2024 and San Diego Magazine ten times.
