Joshua Barlow, MD is a 1st year otolaryngology-head and neck surgery resident physician at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he spent an additional year working as the Head and Neck Research Fellow in the Department of Otolaryngology. Before this, he grew up in Richmond, VA and attended the University of Virginia for his undergraduate education, majoring in biology and psychology. His research interests include improving functional outcomes after free flap surgery, the use of circulating tumor HPV DNA for the diagnosis and surveillance of HPV-associated oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, and the use of deep learning for the diagnosis of voice disorders.
