Layla Babahaji, MPH, is the former Project Manager for the Endoscope AI team in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Ochsner Health in New Orleans, Louisiana. She holds a master’s degree in International Health and Sustainable Development from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Layla has extensive experience in public health and medical research. She conducted orthopedic research and worked closely with physicians for five years at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas. She also completed research fellowships at Tulane University in the Departments of Environmental Health Sciences and Social, Behavioral, and Population Sciences, where she collected and analyzed wastewater surveillance data for COVID-19 outbreak detection and mitigation, and evaluated family planning program transitions in various countries, respectively. At Ochsner Health, she spearheaded the Endoscope AI research team and directed user experience research as the lead investigator on the project.
