Anat Lubetzky, PT, PhD, CSCS, is an Associate Professor at New York University, Department of Physical Therapy, the Director of NYU Steinhardt’s PhD Program in Rehabilitation Sciences and a fellow at the NYU Aging Incubator. Research in Dr. Lubetzky's lab utilizes advances in virtual reality technology to study multisensory integration for postural control in aging adults with and without vestibular dysfunction or hearing loss. Dr. Lubetzky has presented both nationally and internationally, including at past Combined Section Meetings, NEXT and at the Barany Society, in the area of vestibular disorders, dizziness and balance. Her work has been funded by the NIH and the Hearing Health Foundation. Her lab’s current focus, funded by an Early Career R21 grant from the National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders, is studying whether what we hear matters for balance in different contexts and the underlying mechanism of balance dysfunction in adults with vestibular or hearing loss.
