Emily Youner, MD, MPH is a second year Otolaryngology resident at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center / Case Western Reserve SOM. She graduated from The George Washington University, School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 2023. She completed her undergraduate education at GW where she studied Public Health as well as Spanish & Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. From there, she went on to obtain her Master of Public Health at GW’s Milken Institute School of Public Health where she focused her studies on Environmental Health Science and Policy, prior to matriculating into medical school.
During her tenure as a resident, Emily has been an active member of various research groups and has contributed to a number of projects under the leadership of several influential mentors. Emily also credits her early mentors in medical school for much of her initial interest and success in ENT research endeavors.
Outside of residency, Emily enjoys spending time with friends and family, and is dedicated to trying every restaurant on her ever-growing list of places within the Cleveland food scene. She is also fluent in Spanish and is passionate about increasing access to preventive healthcare resources. After residency, Emily looks forward to continuing to serve her patients both in and outside of the hospital.
