PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Physicians are charged to practice evidence-based medicine. The growing popularity of content-sharing platforms has allowed patients to access health-related information through social media. Furthermore, the use of artificial intelligence has shaped the data available to consumers, both patients and healthcare providers alike. We bring together a panel of clinicians and industry experts to discuss the practice of medicine in the age of social media and AI. We will discuss new challenges faced by providers, the role that AI plays in healthcare and how to adapt with the changing practice of medicine.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Discuss changing trends in patient care due to access to medical knowledge and advice via content-sharing platforms
  2. Understand the current landscape of AI in the clinical setting
  3. Demonstrate ways to leverage AI to improve patient outcomes
