PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Otolaryngology is undergoing a transformation underpinned by the integration of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), the imperative of broadening patient access, and the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in clinical settings. This presentation brings together insights from presidents of the AAO-HNS, President Society of PAs in Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and Society of Otorhinolaryngology & Head-Neck Nurses to understand a leadership and practical perspective on how to achieve effective practice integration. The panel will explore how these elements contribute to enhanced patient experience, the evolution of business models, and the acceleration of APP onboarding processes in otolaryngology practices. The expanding role of APPs into otolaryngology has redefined traditional models of care delivery. This presentation will explore opportunities of accelerating the onboarding process for APPs, ensuring rapid integration these changes and how teamwork and best practices relate to patient access and care quality. It will also address the challenges. Furthermore, the panel will discuss the transformative impact of AI on otolaryngology, delving into AI's role in diagnostic and treatment planning, and how it is reshaping the roles of physician assistants and CRNP’s, enhancing clinical decision-making and patient outcomes. The panel will also consider trends in business models, consolidation, private equity acquisition, and implications for the operational and clinical aspects of otolaryngology practices. The panel will address the increasing challenge of violence in healthcare, presenting data and strategies to create safer work environments for healthcare professionals, thus ensuring both provider and patient safety.

  2. To explore the evolving business models in otolaryngology practices, including role of artificial intelligence in enhancing clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
