Dr. Kyle VanKoevering is an associate professor with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Ohio State University and the James Cancer Center. His clinical background includes specialization in head and neck cancer surgery management with a specific focus on skull base tumors at the junction of the brain, nose, and eyes.
In addition to Dr. VanKoevering’s clinical interests, he received an engineering degree (from that school up north) in Biomedical Engineering. After completing medical school at the University of Virginia, he has been passionate about bridging engineering into his clinical care. Dr. VanKoevering is the faculty director of the M4 (Medical Modeling, Materials, and Manufacturing) Division within the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence, which focuses on 3D printing applications in medicine and medical device innovation. He is a pioneer in this field and his work is improving the quality of life for so many patients.
