Present Research Interests:
Laryngeal surgery, phonosurgery, oncological pathology of the head and neck, voice and swallowing disorders, voice disorders in voice professionals.

1. Graduated ENT assistant in the ENT Department of the Egas Moniz Hospital, Lisbon (2005 – present);
2. Founder of the first Voice Unit in Portugal, directed essentially to voice professionals;
3. Responsible for the Voice consultation of the ENT Department of the Egas Moniz Hospital, Lisbon (2005 – present).
Teaching Activity:
1. Professor in master degree in Respiratory Pathology, by the Nova Medical School, New University of Lisbon (2002);
2. Invited professor in the topic “Voice pathology” in the Clinical Pathology I discipline, of the graduation in Speech Therapy, by the Health School of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal, Portugal (2006-2008);
3. Professor in ENT discipline of the Nova Medical School, New University of Lisbon (2008 – present).
4. Professor of Morphology in Biomedical Technologies, University of Évora (2023 – 2024)
Research Projects:
1. Autologous transplants of olfactory mucosa (stem-cells) in traumatized spinal cord patients;
2. Adaptation and validation of the SVHI into Portuguese from Portugal (first researcher)
3. COVOICE-19: COVID Screening by Voice and AI.
