Medical Student
University of Texas Medical Branch
Brian Quinlan is a fourth-year medical student at the John Sealy School of Medicine, University of Texas Medical Branch. He grew up interacting frequently with the hard of hearing community as his father experiences hearing loss which has spurred a passion for working to further integrate the hard of hearing community with the field of otolaryngology. He has chosen to pursue research avenues that further characterize the experiences of members of the hard of hearing community, particularly those with cochlear implants, in an effort to increase mutual understanding. He currently serves as an officer of the Otolaryngology Interest Group at UTMB and as the vice president of the Galveston chapter of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
