Neil Gildener-Leapman is an Associate Professor at Albany Medical College. He practices ablative head and neck oncology. He has interests in mucosal malignancies as well as thyroid cancer. He has a more general interest in health care optimization, and identification of excesses in treatment. He has research collaboration with SUNY Albany on various topics related to salivary dysfunction. Current investigations using Raman Spectroscopy to better characterize Xerostomia in post-radiation as well as immune mediated states. Other work involving human salivary organoids as a model of fibrosis and senescence.
