Angela D. Haskins MD is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery. She grew up in a small farming community in South Georgia. She attended college at the University of Georgia. She then attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia and residency training at the University of Alabama Medical Center. She then completed fellowship training for head and neck oncology in addition to microvascular reconstructive surgery through the American Head & Neck Society at the Medical University of South Carolina. She specializes in surgical management of pathologies involving the head and neck skin, mouth, pharynx, larynx, salivary glands, thyroid, and parathyroid glands. She is also trained in plastic reconstruction of both small and large head and neck cancer ablative defects. She is a dedicated academician with a commitment to providing quality education and effective mentorship for medical students, graduate students, and resident trainees. She regularly participates in didactic lectures and educational events within and outside of the institution. She serves as a Head and Neck Associate Course Director for Baylor's medical school. She is a member of the medical school’s Admissions Committee. Finally, she serves as the Otolaryngology Specialty Specific Mentor for medical students pursuing otolaryngology residency. Nationally, she serves her otolaryngology community on the Task Force for New Materials and the New Members Committee within the American Head & Neck Society.
