Samuel Razmi is a fourth-year engineering medicine student at Texas A&M's School of Engineering Medicine. After having completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Sam wanted to pursue becoming a physician-inventor and found the perfect opportunity in the engineering medicine program at Texas A&M University. There, since his first year, his passion has been rooted in ENT developing new devices, writing grants, and publishing clinical studies. His novel devices include a nasal cartilage caliper, a simplified trephine for DCR surgery, and portable rhinometry. He also has a strong interest clinincal research having authored and co-authored over 10 peer reviewed manuscripts. As a medical student, Sam has aided in securing nearly $150,000 in long-term funding. In his free time, Sam loves working out outside, working on construction projects, and watching NBA basketball. He plans on applying to residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery this year.
