Scottie
Dr. Ashley Agan's academic journey began at the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, followed by a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies, she then completed her otolaryngology residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Agan later earned an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. As a faculty member at UT Southwestern for seven years, she held leadership roles and specialized in treating ear, nose, and throat disorders, particularly eustachian tube disorders. In 2024, she left academics to start a modern, direct care, solo private practice called Scottie, which was named in honor of her grandmother. Also a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr. Agan teaches her patients the role of lifestyle in disease prevention. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, travel, gardening, and strength training, and hosts the BackTable ENT podcast to share insights in otolaryngology. Her journey from a small Texas town to a distinguished otolaryngologist and educator showcases her dedication and determination to make a difference in the world of healthcare and medical education.
