Daniel B. Spielman MD is a board-certified otolaryngologist at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery.
Dr. Spielman’s expertise lies in diagnosing and treating nasal and sinus conditions. He utilizes a comprehensive approach that includes both advanced medical and procedural options. Dr. Spielman specializes in performing endoscopic sinus and anterior skull base surgery. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Spielman’s research spans the otolaryngology field, involving smell disorders and patients with chronic rhinosinusitis.
After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, PA), Dr. Spielman graduated from medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, NY) with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed residency training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia University Medical Center’s NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He then completed specialized fellowship training in Rhinology: Sinus and Skull Base Surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Spielman’s clinical interests include: chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, nasal obstruction, deviated nasal septum, nasal cavity masses, inverted papillomas, smell disorders, allergic rhinitis, nosebleeds, and cerebrospinal fluid leaks.
