Medical Student
Drexel University College of Medicine
Tatiana Ferraro is a fourth year medical student at Drexel University College of Medicine. She graduated with honors from Cornell Univeristy study Biology & Society to better understand health infrastructure and sociocultural contributors to wellness. She is passionate about health equity and is interested in novel interventions to reduce health disparities in surgical care. Tatiana cares deeply about medical education initiatives which promote inclusivity in surgical subspecialties. In that respect, she is grateful for the opportunity to discuss her findings on trends in female presenters at annual AAO-HNS meetings from the last few years. Tatiana is originally from New York, and is the first person in her family to pursue a career in medicine. She is grateful for the opportunities afforded by society leadership to increase representation from students like herself, and hopes to drive those initiatives in the future.
