My name is Abdulmajeed Olayinka Suleiman. I am a Chief consultant ENT surgeon with special interests in the prevention and treatment of ear diseases and hearing disabilities at Federal Teaching Hospital Katsina, Nigeria, where I have been practicing since January 2008.
Born November 5, 1970, in Kano, Nigeria.
I am a visiting consultant otologist at the National Ear Care Center Kaduna, Department of Otolaryngology, Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital Kano, and Kano Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, all in northwest Nigeria. My mission is to establish otologic services and build ear and hearing care capacity in this region, a commitment that has already begun to make a significant difference in the lives of our community members.
I completed my Bachelor's in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Ilorin in 1995. I started my postgraduate training in Otorhinolaryngology in 1999 at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where I received a merit award of excellence in junior residency exams.
I am a fellow of the West African College of Surgeons and the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria in Otorhinolaryngology. These academic achievements are a testament to my dedication and expertise in the field.

I am an active member of the World Hearing Forum, Coalition for Global Hearing Health, and a member of the Humanitarian and Equilibrium Committee of AAO-HNF, the Otolaryngological Society of Nigeria, the African Otological Society, Rotary International, and the OHNS-initiative.I am presently doing a fellowship in health equity in surgery and anesthesia at the University of California, which is focused on reducing health disparities in developing countries.
My interest in global hearing health and clinical research has inspired my contribution to peer review publications and conference presentations in ENT.:
I have participated in humanitarian activities, including free hearing reconstruction surgeries for the poor in ear camps.
