Jack A. Shohet, MD serves in a private clinical practice with Shohet Ear Associates in Orange County, California and is a Clinical Professor at the University of California, Irvine. He received his bachelor’s and medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He completed his internship and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he subsequently completed a fellowship in otology/neurotology at the Ear Foundation in Nashville.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Shohet previously served as Chief of the Division of Neurotology and Residency Program Director in the Department of Otolaryngology at University of California, Irvine. Dr. Shohet is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the California Medical Association, Orange County Medical Association, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Neurotology Society, American Otologic Society and is currently President of the Orange County Society of Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Shohet lectures frequently to professional and community groups throughout Southern California. He previously served as Chairman of the Otolarynogology Department at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach and is currently chairman of the board and co-founder of HearAid Foundation.
