Samuel Altonji, MD is a fellow in Neurotology, Otology, and Lateral Skull Base Surgery at Duke University. He completed medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Duke University. Previous research experience has focused on mentorship, head and neck oncology outcomes, AI enabled head and neck cancer screening in low resource settings, and the interplay between neurologic and otolaryngologic drivers of common head and neck symptoms. His current academic interests lie in hearing restoration, music perception in cochlear implant recipients, and outcomes in lateral skull base surgery.
