SUNY Upstate Medical University
Amer Mansour is a fourth-year medical student at SUNY Upstate Medical Univeristy, currently applying for residency in Otolaryngology. His interest in Otology began in 2014, when he conducted research with the Micromechanics group at MIT studying mammalian cochlear mechanics. From there, his interest in medicine and ENT grew after working in Dr. Konstantina Stankovic's Lab at Mass Eye and Ear where he studied Cholesteatoma imaging and Meniere's disease. During his time at Upstate Medical University, Amer has continued to conduct research in Otology, exploring the innate immune response to acute otitis media and the disparities that exist with regards to hearing healthcare in Central New York. Amer now hopes to persue translational Otolaryngology research throughout residency and into his future career.
